FREE PUBLIC ONLINE EVENT : 17.00 - 19.00 Thursday 9 July 2020
For this latest online event the (Y)our City Centre team are grateful to RSA Scotland for hosting a 2 hour online discussion on Thursday 9 July about the Glasgow City Centre District Regeneration Framework. The event is free and all are welcome.
Following on from recent online webinars hosted by the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce this session with RSA Scotland will feature presentations from Christopher Martin, of Urban Movement and Peter McCaughey of WAVEparticle alongside Jeroen Zuidgeest of Studio for New Realities and Judith Sykes of Useful Projects. The event will be chaired by Graham Ross of Austin-Smiith:Lord.
Topics for discussion about the future of Glasgow city centre will include;
- how we can develop and apply sustainable development and circular design principles in planning for the future,
- the role of active travel and accessible public transport in supporting healthy and thriving communities,
- potential priorities that can transform all four city centre Districts to enhance quality of life,
- how we intend engaging with communities in the coming months to enable local residents, business and organisations to help shape future action plans.
